The variety is a triploid daughter of Hallertauer Mittelfrüh and a sister to Liberty with analytical data similar to both. It has low alpha acids and beta acids content, low cohumulone, and high humulene in the essential oil.  Mount Hood exhibits a pleasant, mild aroma.
